She will also provide guidance on how to end such relationships as well as strategies for breaking cycles/patterns of abuse. Registration open!
Spending habits play an important role in our quality of life. It can be difficult to talk about money, and even harder to talk about toxic spending. Have no fear--we're here to help. Christine will be in conversation with Roe Cummings, 1/2 of Instagram's most lovable minimalist family, Brown Kids and Keila Hill-Trawick of Little Fish Accounting to discuss finances. Our words have power. And removing toxic communication is at the core of being able to love fully. Kristian and Christine will be in conversation with Alex Elle who will provide healthy ways to remove toxic communication from our daily conversations--both those we have with others and ourselves. Alex will also discuss the importance of our words and thoughts, and teach how to harness the power in what we tell ourselves and what we tell others. Click here to register.
The statistics are staggering--Black women are three to four times more likely to die from childbirth than non-Hispanic white women, and socioeconomic status, education, and other factors do not protect against this disparity. Kristian and Christine will be in conversation with Ebony Marcelle, Director of Midwifery at Community of Hope, to engage in rethinking birthing options for Black mothers. Ebony will give insight barriers to quality, equitable healthcare, logistics of receiving maternal care, and the emotional and psychological effects of inequitable prenatal care. She will also provide resources for expectant mothers and mothers who had toxic births. Registration opens on April 19.
Self-care is an important aspect of taking care of yourself. But could there be hidden dangers in the products that you're using? Kristian will be in conversation with Dr. Isfahan Chambers-Harris, Founder of Alodia Hair Care and Abir Ibrahim, Founder of Inua to discuss the importance of utilizing natural products, and the impact that product creation has on the environment and communities. Registration opens on May 2.
